Run or Stay put?
Many of a times, there are just so much coincidence that we human beings just can't seems to explain.
As the C.O.A is coming for command run next week, it was maintenance day for everyone in camp. Started off at 9:30 all the way till 6:30. Under the hot sun, sweeping away the fallen leaves (which adds up to a total of like 20 big trash bags) , and clearing away the overgrown. At mid day, we have to rackey our position as road marshallers for the event. Thereafter, while YG, HJ and I were heading back towards the Hangar with our WO, he took about 5 mins to tell us about his encounter with a cobra 1 year ago. It totally freak us out.
15 minutes later, when I was sweeping the side of the road, I heard a 'thud' sound. Next moment I lift my head, I saw a snake in front of me, approximately a metre away. It just dropped from the freaking tree. I back off a few steps and my mind completely lose. I immediately called YG who's 10 feet away. The snake was about a meter long, slim and green. Both of us just stood there, trying to recall that Warrant Low told us not to move if we ever see a snake. Next minute, my handphone rang (courtesy of Teo tingting). Sensing sound and vibration, the snake immediately looked towards my direction, as if its gonna bite me any second. Seriously I just don't know if we should run or just stand there to observe that snake. Next thing I did was, lifting my broom and the snake glide away in great speed. (Maybe it sense that I'm gonna whack it, but i've no bad intention at all).
If you can remember, my brother was admitted to A&E because of a snake. 1 month later, its my turn. God!
You know after this incident, I keep having this thought. I keep asking myself, what happen if I were to move forward a metre and the whole snake just dropped onto me. Worse, went into my coverall. I don't know what I'm gonna do, except to faint on the spot. Gross! Gross! Its such a big turn off.
Going to Licia's 21st Birthday party later. Yayyy!!
Oh, my taiwanese cousins are here to stay with us for a month. I shall blog about them soon.
